MERINO VEST “KUFAJKA”

Merino wool hardly needs an introduction… So here’s ours: the “Kufajka,” a vest made from merino wool fleece. In short – a wonderfully fluffy and warm “sheepskin” with a retro style! 😀 The fleece length is a generous 8 mm, and the fabric density reaches 450 g/m²! For the neckline, we’ve added a super soft and delicate ribbed trim, made of 99% merino wool!

What can you expect from the vest?

Everything that merino wool has to offer:

  • Excellent Thermoregulation – Keeps you cozy when it’s cold, yet prevents overheating when it gets warmer. Plus, it provides UV protection.
  • Moisture-Wicking – Merino wool draws moisture away from the body and, unlike cotton shirts, doesn’t make you feel cold when you sweat during activity. It dries very quickly. 🙂
  • No Itchiness – This type of wool is extremely gentle and pleasant on the skin, even when in direct contact.
  • Breathable – Perfect for intense activities thanks to its breathability!
  • Elasticity – Moves with your body while maintaining its shape without stretching or deforming.
  • Antibacterial Properties – Merino wool inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi. This means:
    1. It minimizes unpleasant odors when you sweat.
    2. You can (and should) wash it less frequently than cotton or synthetic clothing.
  • Eco-Friendly – Merino wool is 100% biodegradable.

The merino wool we use is sourced from the EU and is certified “mulesing-free.”

Care Instructions for Your “Kufajka”

The “Kufajka” is a unique product that deserves special care. 🙂 Here are a few tips:

  1. Shake It Out – Before first use, shake your vest to remove any loose fibers.
  2. Air It Out – If the wool smell feels too strong, simply air it outside before wearing.
  3. Material Changes Over Time – The fabric structure may slightly “compact” during use.

Maintenance Tips:

  • Absorb fresh stains with a dry tissue.
  • Gently brush out or spot clean older stains.
  • Refresh your wool by airing it out or… freezing it!

Washing Advice:
Machine washing is not recommended, but if you decide to take the plunge 😉, remember:

  • Use a wool cycle.
  • Avoid fabric softeners.
  • Do not spin excessively.
  • Never tumble dry.

The fleece used for the vest has a slight tendency to feel a little “scratchy.” However, the ribbing used for the collar and pocket is exceptionally soft and pleasant to the touch.
