WOOLEN SUIT

“Woolly” is woolen suit made from 100% merino wool. The material is equally robust and soft, but most importantly: it’s not itchy! 🙂 It offers great thermal comfort – it warms, but doesn’t overheat. It has flexible cuffs around sleeves and trouser legs. Additionally, it has a two-sided zip – much appreciated by the male part of our clients 🙂

This suit can be used during everyday walks, when baby wearing (the fabric’s thickness allows the sling to be adjusted properly), during road trips in a car seat (without the thick down clothing baby can be securely fastened) and so forth.

Woolly works perfectly as a winter insert for our softshell suit “Nospill” – which then becomes an all year round suit that will work even in the snow. You’re not familiar with our Nospill yet? Properties of merino wool:

• Great thermoregulation – it warms wonderfully when it’s cold, but at the same time prevents overheating when it gets warmer. It also protects against UV rays.
• Wicks moisture away – merino wool wicks moisture away from the body and – unlike, for example, cotton shirts – does not make you feel cold when you sweat during exercise. Dries very quickly
• Does not itch – this type of wool is extremely soft and pleasant to the skin, even when in direct contact with it.
• Breathable – that’s why merino clothing is perfect for intense activity!
• Flexible – it works well with the body without stretching or warping.
• Antimicrobial – merino wool inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi. What does this mean? Firstly, it reduces unpleasant odours when you sweat. Secondly, it can (and indeed should) be washed less frequently than cotton or synthetic clothes.
• Environmentally friendly – merino wool is 100% biodegradable.

The merino wool we use is GOTS certified, meaning it is sourced and produced ethically, with care for animal welfare.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Remember to properly care for your merino items:

• Absorb fresh stains with a dry tissue.
• “Older” stains can be brushed out or spot-cleaned.
• Refresh the wool by airing it out in the fresh air or… freezing it!
• If necessary, hand wash at 30℃ using wool detergent (rinse at the same temperature), squeeze out excess water into a dry towel (do not wring!), and dry flat.

Machine washing is not recommended; however, if you decide to do it anyway 😉 you do so at your own risk. Remember to:

• Use a wool wash program.
• Do not use fabric softeners.
• Use a low spin cycle.
• Do not tumble dry.
